On the preview, I ran the loop correctly, showing folks where the Sunday run would be. Today I completely spaced out on Forest Ave and we ended up at Cypress and Cooper during the first loop, adding at least a mile, probably closer to one and a half. The second loop I cut it too short, but luckily K. put us back on track.
I was running with K., M. and O., all of whom could have capably dropped me at any point, all of whom reigned it in which let me stick with. It was a bit of a push to keep up with them during the second loop, especially when M. announced that she loved hills and dropped our pace well below my 5k race pace up a mile long hill. (Note to self. Your 5k race pace has been superseded, it just doesn't know it yet.)
I completely fell apart on the last loop. O. and I stopped to split a sugary sport drink, which helped me mentally, but I was spent. Miles 14 and 15 were completed with some arm pumping and focus on turnover.
Put one foot forward. Then do it again.
