Leonids!

Inspired by H.'s run to the piers of Gantry Plaza State Park to watch the Orionids (where all three of us had a successful viewing, where success is defined by at least one claimed meteor sighting), I dragged folks out for a Leonids run.

A couple of things were different about this one. First, daylight savings is over, and dawn comes earlier. Second, we had 100 per cent cloud cover. Sorry, that was pessimistic. It was only 98 per cent cloud cover, and in fact it started to blow over as the sun came up. Which meant we saw Saturn for a hot second.

No meteors were seen, but we got a nice run in. Manhattan Ave is lovely at 5:15 AM. We got to run three wide on the sidewalk with no interference. I finally met C., and plan to start running Thursday mornings as often as feels right. As always, much love to the NBR crew. You managed to turn a disappointment into a wonderful early run.

Besos.
